Using data to inform prosecution processes and internal office procedures has posed a significant technical and logistical challenge for Albuquerque’s Second Judicial District Attorney’s Office. On Thursday, August 22nd representatives from the office will present an overview of these challenges, the transformation the office has undergone, current work, and the goals for future development of the use of data in prosecution.
The presentation will also discuss the office’s collaborations with New Mexico Tech’s Institute for Complex Systems Analysis (ICASA) and other local technical volunteers to further these efforts. The DA’s Office hopes to demonstrate the difficulties and successes in creating a common framework for using data to solve business problems inside the prosecution process.
