Hailing from beneath the long shadows of the Windy City, Gored Embrace answers the long-standing question of those in the underground: who holds the banner of Chicago Death Metal?
A legion of five, the group stands between two bookends of the axe, Danny Bazàn and Brian Higgins. Their war-drums beat to the heart of Stephen Szczasny, while Noah Sawlaw rides the abyssal waves of the deep on bass. Speaking and howling in fetid tongues, Anthony Crisanti takes up the mantle of vocals, a deep bench of demons hiding inside the maw. Since 2020, they've been on a journey to carve the path through the annals of classic death metal into its filthy, insane future.
Basking in the radioactive glow of classic Death Metal from New York to Florida, these five of the postmodern age of the genre have joined the sounds of the hemisphere together in wicked coalescence, giving birth to two demos, and singles that show a commitment to the craft. With an appreciation of the raw talent of the 90's, and the progressive technicality of those who wish to leave a lasting impact, Gored Embrace scrambled out from a foul forgotten time to strangle their fans with furious resolve, tightly-woven frets, the hammers of hell, clean production with rich depth, and an unyielding stamina to exceed the historically short length of the genre.
They aren't another OSDM clone. They've come to dethrone.
