Do relationships have SELL BY dates? A gay couple and their three close girlfriends ask that question in this sweetly comic ensemble dramady. Adam (Scott Evans) is a frustrated painter having doubts about his five-year relationship with Marklin (Augustus Prew). Their situation is complicated by their income disparity; Marklin runs a red-hot fashion brand with an avid Instagram following, while Adam struggles to get by. Meanwhile, one friend is falling for a teenager, and another is dating a man who lives in a homeless shelter. The delightful cast includes Kate Walsh (GREY'S ANATOMY, 13 REASONS WHY) and a cameo by the great Patricia Clarkson.
Written and directed by Mike Doyle, the actor best known as Ryan O'Halloran on LAW & ORDER: SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT, SELL BY explores some always-relevant topics – from money and job pressures to selfishness and still-present exes. It's an uplifting story of one chosen family told with warmth and humor.
