Jamie Bernstein, the oldest daughter of Leonard Bernstein, the illustrious composer/conductor, offers an intimate look at her father in this beautifully written memoir. In Famous Father Girl, Bernstein mines the emotional depths of her childhood and invites us into her family’s world. It’s an intoxicating tale about a complex, sometimes troubled man, the family he reared and the music he composed.
